On St. Patrick's Day the American Embassy came to visit Donkoi. The children gave a very cute performance and the Embassy staff gave gifts and speeches. It was a nice but short visit.

New Canadian Volunteers and American Embassy Visit
My first day back in Laos was March 16, and two Canadian teachers came to visit Donkoi. Sarah and Dawn came and wanted to volunteer so Xuyen immediately put them to work. Dawn only had a couple of days in Laos so she taught English with me in the 4th grade classroom! We also helped the Donkoi staff get ready for the American Embassy visit the next day.
